The commodity decile report assists when marketing your grain. It can be used as a tool to help make grain pricing decisions.
A decile is simply the probability of an event happening based on historical data, with a decile representing 1/10th of the sample. For example, decile 1 represents the average of the lowest 10% of the data sample.
Grain price information, collected over nineteen years, is independently collected from credible sources and is summarised into long term, 5 year and 10 year rolling averages for a range of commodities. These include wheat, durum, barley, canola, lentils, faba beans and field peas. Listed are the lowest prices on record, the highest, average, and those for the decile 1 to the decile 9 range.
Also included are Chicago Board of Trade wheat, Winnipeg Canola Exchange, US dollar and Canadian dollar to Australian Dollar figures.
The grain price data that provides the basis for the report is collected everyday to produce our Market Directions™ and Prices Direct™ services. The decile report is also provided to our Grain Marketing Service and Crop to Market clients.
As a bonus, when you order the decile report, you will also receive our Grain News. This free newsletter will be emailed to your in box each time it is published.
