David has a vast experience in working with farming families to achieve their goals through the application of robust business planning and farm business management practices. He has substantial experience in the management of national industry development and capacity building projects.
David’s qualifications include a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management.
David is the Managing Director of Rural Directions, leading, managing and developing Rural Directions into a proactive, innovative and sought after business. This includes identifying new services and growth opportunities.
David is involved in an array of projects, including holding advisory board positions with several farming and agribusiness clients and being the Independent Chairperson of the National Grains Weeds Advisory Committee for the GRDC.
David also manages his families 3,400 ha grain, livestock and hay business between Freeling and Kapunda. This provides first hand experience in managing a broad acre farming business, along with the challenges and opportunities that are faced. This business provides a source of innovation for developing Rural Directions and clients businesses.
