Leasing and share farming can be a strategic business opportunity for farmers wishing to reduce their on farm work load but retain land ownership. Or ‘from the other side of the fence’ it can also be an excellent avenue for farmers looking to create economies of scale without the high capital cost of land or livestock purchase.
