The right person for this position will have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as agricultural science or similar.
- A minimum of three year’s demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Ability to collect, analyse and interpret survey and scientific data.
- Demonstrated ability to foster client relationships and maintain high level client engagement through excellent communication and service delivery.
- Experience in project management and stakeholder consultation.
- Demonstrated report writing experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven communication and technical writing skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Are you an experienced Environmental Consultant, who enjoys developing client relationships? We are seeking a new team member to lead a broad range of environmental consulting projects.
Pinion Advisory’s business is centred around agriculture. We undertake a full range of environmental consulting services related to the sustainable use and development of land, water and natural assets. The broad scope of our environmental consulting services includes native vegetation, soil and landscape impact assessments, feral animal monitoring and management plan development, contaminated site assessment, environmental monitoring, and terrestrial and aquatic ecology.
Our diverse environmental consulting team is also recognised for developing and implementing circular economy strategies relevant to agriculture, with a depth of experience in recycled water, biosolids, composting and management of other organic waste streams.
Based in Mildura, the successful candidate will develop environmental consulting opportunities across Pinion Advisory’s existing client base, while also developing new clients both locally and further afield.
Who are we looking for?
Pinion Advisory is looking for a client focused, commercially oriented Environmental Consultant.
For success in this role, you will require:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. environmental, earth or natural resource science, ecology, hydrogeology etc)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant role
- Consulting experience, with a demonstrated talent for building new business
- Demonstrated project management experience in a commercial environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a keenness and ability to manage existing clients, build new client relationships and work within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as working with colleagues based locally and working in our other locations
- A high level of computer literacy (GIS skills an advantage)
You will require a driver’s licence and be prepared to do some travel as projects and clients require.
