Patrick has been working at Rural Directions since late 2004, and holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. During this time he has worked on a variety of projects including assessing and managing trials, increasing the adoption of conservation farming, and investigating the impact of farm management on greenhouse emissions. To further his knowledge, he is currently undertaking a Post Graduate Certificate in Climate Change in Agriculture from the University of Melbourne.
Patrick currently works with businesses as an agronomist one on one, with clients throughout the mid north of South Australia. He also works with family farms, corporate and small business to develop business plans and assess the feasibility of future enterprises. This involves scenario planning, financial analysis, and benchmarking. He is a regular contributor to Rural Directions agronomic newsletter, InCrop.
As Program Manager for Farm and Regional Business Services, Patrick is responsible for overseeing the delivery of these services to clients.
