Patrick Redden

Patrick has experience in agronomy and business management, holding a Bachelor of Agriculture Science. He has also spent time in the Research and Development business, assessing and managing trial projects.

Patrick works with businesses as an agronomist one on one. He also develops business plans and assesses the feasibility of future enterprises. Patrick works with groups, facilitating discussion on topical agronomic matters and business management. Patrick is also involved in the production of Rural Directions Pty Ltd’s agronomic newsletter, InCrop.

Patrick is currently managing a project funded by FarmReady on behalf of the Gilbert Agribusiness Group that aims to quantify the relative carbon emissions of different farming systems currently in use in the Lower North of South Australia. Whilst the project operations are focused in this area, the project results will be applicable to a wider farming audience in South Australia and Nationally.

The project is ground breaking work and has received significant support from the local and national community. The Honourable Tony Burke, MP, was present at a recent information day where the Australian Farm Institute presented data on the Emissions Trading Scheme, and the possible implications for the Agricultural sector. For more information on the project, please contact Patrick.

Patrick is passionate about the rural community and helping rural businesses to succeed and prosper.
