David Heinjus

David has a vast experience in working with farming families to achieve their goals through the application of robust business planning and farm business management practices. He has substantial experience in the management of national industry development and capacity building projects.

David’s qualifications include a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management.

David is the Managing Director of Rural Directions Pty Ltd, leading, managing and developing Rural Directions Pty Ltd into a proactive, innovative and sought after business. This includes identifying new services and growth opportunities.

David is involved in an array of projects, including holding board positions with several farming and agribusiness clients, being the project leader for the National Vegetable Industry Development Program, The Emerging Entrepreneurs program and facilitator of the Gilbert Agribusiness Group.

David also manages his families 3,400 ha grain, livestock, hay and straw business between Freeling and Kapunda. This provides first hand experience in managing a broad acre farming business, along with the challenges and opportunities that are faced. This provides a source of innovation for developing Rural Directions Pty Ltd and clients businesses.
